Q:  How long have you been with the company?
A:  9 years
Q:  What is the most memorable moment of your career with Hoss's?
A:  I went to the Fulton County 4-H livestock sale as a buyer obviously representing Hoss's. I believe I had one of our company hats on, but as I walked in I heard a lady whisper, "Oh good, Hoss's is here." Anyway, as the sale continued, I bought a market hog from this little gal that seemed to be about 7 years old. Her hog was a bit contrary in the pen, but she managed it without her Dad's help. This may be one of those "you had to be there things" but after the sale, here she came around the pens with her boots, jeans, and cowgirl hat on grinning from ear to ear and obviously very proud of herself. I was sitting on the front row of the bleacher seats and she walked right over to me and gave me a big hug and said, "Mr. Smith, thanks for buying my pig." It was one of those times in life when you're all but forced to sit down and reevaluate the things you feel are most important.

Q:  What was the last book you read?
A:  Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee by Dee Brown

Q:  What's your favorite movie?
A:  Rocky
Q:  Favorite food?
A: Bacon
Q:  What's the funniest or most embarrassing thing that ever happened to you?
A:  I was in a pub with a bunch of friends in college. We were throwing darts and one of my friends was close by playing the guitar and singing. There was a mixed gender crowd of about 20 people sitting close by. As I was standing at the line throwing, my roommate decided that my shorts would look better down around my ankles. So he acted on it. I don't remember feeling embarrassed. I do remember the music stopping and everyone laughing and pointing, although I'm not sure why!

Q:  What's your "pet peeve?"
A:   Hard butter
Q:  What do you like to do outside of work?
A:   Travel, hunt, fish, SCUBA, and pick mushrooms
Q:  Do you collect anything?
A:   Not on purpose

Q:  What was your first job?
A:  Dish man at Ed's Steak House

Q:  What was your first car?
A:   1979 Omni 024
Q:  Where is your hometown?
A:  Bedford, PA
Q:  What is your favorite song?
A: I Wish A Buck Was Still Silver by Merle Haggard
Q:  Do you have any pets?
A:  Fish
Q:  What is your favorite childhood memory?
A:  Catching bullfrogs out of the ponds at Down River Golf Course with my dad, uncle, and pap. I was too young to catch them then, but when one of them would get a frog, I was there to collect it. Talk about a young boy's dream. Up past your bed time, stomping around in the mud with a burlap bag full of frogs.
